Justin Bieber and Billie Eilish share a special bond. At Coachella, fans witnessed that connection when the Baby hitmaker serenaded the young breakthrough musician on stage.
But while the clip attracted millions of comments, the SWAG singer has been protective of his fellow crooner.
In a throwback interview with The Zane Lowe Show, he said, “I definitely feel protective of her. I don’t want her to lose it. I don’t want her to go through anything I went through. I wouldn’t wish that on anyone. If she ever needs me, I’m just a phone call away.”
His comments came after Bieber himself was reportedly dealing with a darker side of the industry.
Meanwhile, in return, the sweet hitmaker was delighted with his idol’s continued support, and previously told Conan O’Brien Needs a friend.
“I’m so grateful to have him in my life; it’s honestly something that I don’t even know how to explain. I’m so grateful for him and love the way he was for me when I needed it and he needed it, and we talked about it a lot. He could have just said, ‘Oh cool, you’re a fan, bye,’ and that’s it.”
She continued, “And it still is. He just won’t give up on me, and I know that sounds stupid, but it’s true. He really makes me feel so loved and seen.”
“He always reaches out to me in the sweetest ways, in the most reassuring ways, like, ‘You’re not alone in this; I was there.'”
Billie Eillish’s emotional reunion at Coachella
In a return-full-circle moment, Eilish was weak at the knees as Bieber sang One less lonely girl during Coachella weekend 2.
