Critics share early verdict on ‘The Mandalorian and Grogu’

The reviews of ‘The Mandalorian and Grogu’ are out

With three days to go, The Mandalorian and Grogu have just received the critics’ take.

And some of them aren’t amused by Star Wars’ latest offering.

Now that the embargo on reviews has been lifted, Variety’s opinion was: “Jon Favreau directs a big-budget film with a tidy small-screen consciousness.”

“But maybe that’s what ‘Star Wars’ is now,” it says.

Slashfilm’s review is even more brutal.

In its desperate attempt to please everyone, “The Mandalorian and Grogu” neglects to tell a meaningful story worth anyone’s time.

“Star Wars” has never felt more boring or mundane. This is not the way, folks,” the review said.

Den of Geek’s review echoes the criticism of previous reviews.

“Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu could be the first summer blockbuster that feels like a small-screen rerun.”

However, there are also some positive reviews.

The Bulwark’s review stated, “I think my children, for whom this picture is designed, will enjoy The Mandalorian and Grogu.”
