The mysterious spinner of Pakistan, Abrar Ahmed, marked a new milestone in his life on Saturday while he made the decision during a ceremony in Karachi.
According to reports in the media, the 27-year-old cricket player-Wiens Nikah had previously taken its bride home on Saturday evening. His Valima reception will take place in the city on Monday.
A video from the national player who celebrated with friends also went viral on social media earlier in the day, and showed Abrar surrounded by benefactors dancing on drumbeats outside a local marriage sofa.
Abrar’s wedding parties, however, started on Friday evening with a ‘Mehndi’ ceremony, the glimpse of which also viral went on social media, with the spinner dressed in a green Shalwar Kamez.
For the Unververeded, Abrar, who made his international debut for Pakistan in 2022, has so far represented the green shirts in 10 tests, 11 ODIs and 23 T20Is, who have taken 93 wickets about formats, including two five-Wick Hauls, both of which came in the longest format.
Abrar was also part of the Pakistan team that reached the final of the recently closed ACC Men’s T20 Asia Cup 2025, where they have a defeat of five wicket members at the hands of arch rivals India.
He was also appointed in the Pakistan team for the two-match house series against South Africa, planned to start on October 12 in Lahore.
To refine their skills for the upcoming assignment, the National Cricketers participate in the training camp in Lahore, which is underway until 8 October, where Abrar expects he will join his Valima reception again.
