Taylor Swift creates new buzz around new music video

Taylor Swift has reignited interest in history among fans thanks to an Easter Egg in her recently released music video.

The 35-year-old pop superstar was inspired The fate of Ophelia video clip of the iconic 20th century painting Ophelia, and she talked about it in her interviews.

Shortly after Swift explained that the painting about the Shakespeare character, painted by Friederich Heyser, and how it resonated with her, Swifties rushed to the German museum, Hessische Landesmuseum.

The beginning of her music video recreates the painting of Ophelia lying over a body of water with flowers surrounding her, while Swift takes on the role and lies among the flowers in a white dress.

The museum had nearly 500 visitors to see that particular painting, museum spokesperson Susanne Hirschmann said. The Guardian.

She continued: “We’re having an absolute Ophelia run at the moment and are quite surprised and happy about it,” adding: “It’s been a shock, to be honest. We have a colleague with a friend who is a Swift fan and she noticed that the opening scene of the video had a similarity. [with the Heyser painting] and we thought: wow, what a coincidence, that’s exciting.”

The museum now awaits its special visitor, Swift himself, whom they are trying to reach.
