Pakistan’s rising squash star Ashab Irfan secured his first PSA World Tour title by winning the 2025 Richardson Wealth Men’s Vancouver Open, defeating England’s Sam Todd in back-to-back matches.

The 21-year-old, seeded fourth, produced a dominant performance to secure a 3-0 win in just 43 minutes, with scores of 11-9, 11-1, 11-5. Sixth seed Todd was unable to match Ashab’s pace and precision as Ashab secured victory in the straight sets.

The 2025 Richardson Wealth Men’s Open, a PSA World Tour Copper event, had a total prize pool of $31,250.

The victory marks a significant milestone for the 21-year-old Pakistani player, who continues to make rapid progress in the professional circuit alongside Noor Zaman.

A total of two Pakistani players competed for the 24-player title, but third-seeded Zaman lost to Todd 2–3 in the quarter-finals.
