The romance between Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau appears to be blossoming.
After their first public appearance together on October 25, according to People magazinePerry revealed that the 41-year-old singer is “flattered” by Trudeau’s attempts to spend time with her as she continues her work. Lifelong world tourwhich runs until December.
“She is focused on her tour and Justin has really made an effort to meet her where she is – literally,” the source said. “She’s flattered. He’s shown that he’s committed and really cares about spending time with her. It’s clear he appreciates the connection, and so does Katy. She’s in a great place.”
The pair first sparked romance rumors in July and fueled speculation earlier this month when they were spotted kissing aboard a yacht near Santa Barbara. According to the insider, Perry did not expect the relationship, but he embraces the surprise.
“Dating Justin is something she never saw coming, but she’s really enjoying this surprising turn in life,” the source added, noting that Trudeau, 53, flew to Paris to celebrate Perry’s birthday on Oct. 25 — “and she loved it.”
Another source close to Perry said that despite their demanding schedules, the couple is prioritizing each other. “They both have busy schedules, but they make time for each other and have a very strong bond,” the source said.
“Katy didn’t expect to fall for someone so quickly, but Justin checks all the boxes. He has a great sense of humor, he’s charming and treats her with respect.”
The two were photographed holding hands and smiling while attending a cabaret show at Crazy Horse Paris on Perry’s birthday.
The singer’s new romance comes months after her split from ex-fiancé Orlando Bloom following their nine-year relationship.
Trudeau, meanwhile, divorced his wife Sophie Grégoire in 2023 after 18 years of marriage.
