Ed Kelce seemed to have noticed the alarming signs in Travis Kelce’s relationship with Kayla Nicole even before they eventually broke up.
A video of Papa Kelce dissecting the relationship is currently circulating on social media, in the wake of the online controversy between the sportscaster and Taylor Swift.
In the clip you can hear Ed say, “he [Travis] just isn’t ready to settle down yet. And unfortunately, I think she was. I think she got tired of waiting. I am certainly not going to argue for a settlement, because it is time.”
The father of two continued, “Actually, there was a moment right after Jason got married when Travis was talking about it: You know it might be time for me to settle down, …but nowhere in there did he mention Kayla’s name and if this is someone that you want to spend your life with and are ready to get married and settle down and have a family, then that should have been the first thing out of your mouth. If your primary focus isn’t on the woman you’re marrying, then don’t get married.”
However, Ed’s opinion on the Kansas City Chiefs’ current relationship with the pop superstar is completely different. In interviews after the couple’s engagement, he said he had been, and urged his son to pop the question sooner.
Although the interview about Kayla and Travis is from a few years ago, it has resurfaced due to the current social media drama involving Kayla, which has led her to deactivate her X account.
