Charli XCX has put her own spin on it Wuthering Heights by Emily Brontë, for the Emerald Fennell film adaptation, and she slowly lets fans into the world they built together.
The 33-year-old pop superstar took to Instagram on Thursday, November 13, and revealed some exciting news for fans, writing: “My new song Chains of love for Emerald Fennell ‘Wuthering Heights.”
The Apples hitmaker released the song without prior notice and it is now available to stream, and will soon be accompanied by a music video.
Charli not only announced the release of the song, but also shared that the songs will be followed by an album of twelve songs, all originals that she created for her. Wuthering Heights.
The 365 singer added Wuthering Heightsthe album, will be released on February 13, 2026.
Excited fans flocked to the comments, with one writing: “It gives real romance but with the 2025 budget we won,” referring to Charli’s 2013 album.
Another echoed: ‘We’re getting romantic and goth thank goodness,’ and ‘SO EXCITEDDDD,’ chimed in a third.
While others said, “I’ve been waiting for this” and “AHHH, WHAT I DIDN’T KNOW WAS A WHOLE ALBUM.”
Fennell’s film starring Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi, as Brontë’s breakthrough characters, is scheduled for release on February 13, the same day as Charli’s album.
