‘Rush Hour 4’ gets exciting cast update

Rush hour 4 is reportedly in the works, with President Donald Trump having a say in the deal.

Multiple media outlets have reported that American film giant Paramount is reviving the Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker action-comedy franchise, with Brett Ratner, director of the original 1998 film, once again at the helm.

Digital media outlet Puck revealed on X, formerly Twitter, that this news comes after President Trump lobbied Paramount Skydance’s largest shareholder, Larry Ellison, on behalf of director Brett Ratner.

After years of rumors about a fourth Rush Hour episode, Chan confirmed in 2022 that they were “talking about” ideas and indicated at the time that he was in contact with a director he did not name.

Ratner was accused in 2017 by several women — including actors Olivia Munn and Natasha Henstridge — of sexual misconduct or harassment during Hollywood’s MeToo movement, which Ratner denied.
