Miley Cyrus is sharing some rare insights into her bond with fiancé Maxx Morando.
In a recent conversation with People during the promotion of the upcoming film Avatar: Fire and Ashesthe Flowers hitmaker, who recently got engaged to Maxx, gushed about her relationship with her fiancé.
“The detail I can share is that for us, our privacy and the fact that we kept it small was something that I’m surprised I was actually able to have more choice in,” she told the outlet when asked about her engagement.
Miley added, “I think also being older is being more protective of what I’m open to sharing.”
The Disney alum, whose soundtrack features her song Dream as onemade a comparison between her relationship and Avatar, noting that it is “about love, family resilience and kind of reconnection and that idea that we are stronger together.”
“And so I thought it was kind of perfectly thematic and aligned with where I am in my life right now,” says the Grammy winner explained.
News of the couple’s engagement first broke after Miley and Maxx walked the red carpet at the Los Angeles premiere of Avatar: Fire and Ashes on Monday, December 1, with the pop star showing off a diamond on her ring finger.
