The Chronicles of Narnia was released in 2005. Two decades have passed and one of its stars, Georgie Henley, who plays Lucy Pevensie, shares a post on Instagram to mark the film’s 20th anniversary.

“20 years!!!!! We had to retake this photo in August when Andrew was in London. I don’t really have the words except thank you,” she says.

The star, who is now 30, comments: “Andrew, for creating real magic and for letting us be a part of it, and thanks to everyone who loves the film as much as we loved making it.”

It’s worth noting that at the time of filming, Georgie was almost 10 years old, her co-star Skandar Keynes was 13, while William Moseley and Anna Popplewell, who play her eldest siblings, were 18.

Meanwhile, Netflix is ​​ready to release its version Narniadirected by Greta Gerwig, best known for Barbie.

The film will have a limited theatrical release, but only in IMAX theaters. In this regard, its CEO, Rich Gelfond, recently raved about the upcoming film, calling it a “cultural event.”

“This is a real blockbuster film that is being made for [IMAX and Netflix]and you know, I think I should talk a little bit about why I’m so excited about it. This is not your mother’s or grandmother’s Narnia,” he said Narniaweb.
