First trailer drops for Billie Eilish’s 3D concert film


Paramount has released the first trailer for Hit me hard and softa new 3D concert film co-directed by Billie Eilish and James Cameron.

The film, which will premiere on March 20, 2026, is billed as “an innovative new concert experience” capturing Eilish’s most recent global tour.

In the footage, Cameron says: “No one has ever shot a concert film on this scale before,” pointing to the unprecedented technology used in the production.

He also asked Eilish about the emotional weight she carried on the tour, hinting that the film will go deeper than a typical tour documentary.

Produced by Lightstorm Earth, Darkroom Records and Interscope Films, the release marks Eilish’s biggest theatrical push to date.

Her previous concert film, Live at the O2 (2023), had only a limited rollout.

This time around, she’s aiming for IMAX, large formats and a wide release in hopes of matching the big numbers of Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour film.

Paramount hasn’t ventured much into concert films in recent years. The last major entry was in 2011 Justin Bieber: Never say neverwhich opened to $29.5 million and closed with $73 million domestically and nearly $100 million worldwide.

The trailer arrives as Cameron gears up for the December 19 release Avatar: Fire and Asheswhich brought more attention to the Eilish film.

Hit me hard and soft is Eilish’s third studio album. It is also pertinent to mention that it earned seven nominations at the 67th Annual Grammys, including Album of the Year and Record of the Year.

The single was released at the upcoming 68th Grammys on February 1, 2026 Wild flower is nominated for both Record and Song of the Year.
