Despite it being years since Meghan Markle left Britain and no longer being a full-time royal, there appears to be no change in King Charles’ feelings towards her.
Despite speaking out against the Company’s lack of accommodation or assistance several times during her suicidal attack while pregnant with Archie, as well as her interviews with Oprah and even the Harry & Meghan docuseries, King Charles’ “soft spot” is said to continue.
It will also only get softer with time, a source revealed to the National Examiner. Moreover, “despite everything that has happened, Charles has not turned his back on Meghan.” In an opposite way, “the more time passes, the more empathy he seems to feel for her.”
The same source also referenced an old nickname he had for the Duchess of Sussex, “Tungsten,” adding that “he still believes she has a good heart.”
He is also said to have become quite emotional upon learning that her father, Thomas Markle, had suffered a medical emergency and, according to a source, “wants peace, not just with Harry but with Meghan, and he is quietly applying pressure from the top to make that happen.”
However, his wife and son are not there because “they are stunned and say he is far too naive” and “they strongly feel that it requires effort to open the door for her.”
