Elvis Presley, 42, and his daughter Lisa Marie Presley, 54, died at a young age. Sally A. Hoedel, who writes Elvis: Destined to Die Young, previously said there is a pattern of early deaths in the pop icon’s family.
His mother died at the age of 46, while three of the legendary artist’s uncles died at a young age from various health complications.
Studying what she called a pattern, Sally discovered, according to her findings, that hereditary birth-related conditions ran in his family.
“By the time Elvis died in 1977, he had a disease or disorder in nine of the body’s 11 systems. At least five of these were present before he became famous and have probably been there since birth. This is even more relevant now that Lisa Marie Presley’s autopsy has revealed much of the disease,” she previously told the newspaper. Emphatic.
In addition, Sally said that Marie’s autopsy stated, “As details emerge from Lisa Marie Presley’s autopsy report, the cause of death is confirmed as an obstruction of the small intestine. This raises further questions about her long-term health status. The obstruction was caused by scar tissue from a gastric bypass surgery performed years ago.”
The author claimed that this intestinal condition was also shared by Elvis. “Elvis Presley also suffered from a lifelong intestinal disorder and chronic constipation. While some of the medications he was taking could have further slowed down his digestive system, this was not the original cause of the problem.”
Sally also noted that both father and daughter had this problem since childhood. “There is evidence that it was a problem for Elvis as a toddler and teenager, long before fame and prescription drugs came into play. Likewise, Lisa Marie’s own testimony confirms that she had known about it since childhood.”
In light of her findings, the author said, “I hope this family history is eventually pieced together, not only to bring peace to Lisa Marie and her family, but also because of its clear correlation with the young death of her famous father.”
It’s worth noting that Lisa died of cardiac arrest in 2023 and her father, Elvis, of a heart attack in 1977.
