Stranger things actress Millie Bobby Brown became emotional as she recalled the impact of plastic surgery rumors on her mental health.
During Electric State’s press tour in March 2025, the 21-year-old star was trolled for having plastic surgery and looking older than her age.
Although she denied the speculation at the time, it seriously affected his mental health.
Speak with British Voguesaid Millie: “I was depressed for three, four days. I cried every day. ‘Oh my God, what has she done to her face? Why has she gone blonde? She looks 60 years old!’ I respect journalism.”
She went on to say, “I love reading articles about my favorite people and hearing what they are up to.”
“I understand there are paparazzi, even though it’s invasive, even though it feels like sh-t to me, I know that’s your job. But don’t hit me in the head right away,” Millie continued.
The Lady star added, “It’s so wrong and it’s bullying, especially for young girls who are new to this industry and already questioning everything about it.”
Concluding the conversation, Millie said, “For some reason people can’t seem to grow up with me. Instead, they act like I’m meant to be frozen in time… And because that’s not the case, I’m now a target.”
For those unfamiliar, Millie is currently busy promoting the final season of Stranger things.
Part 3 of the hit series will be released on Netflix on December 31, 2025.
