Bowen Yang takes a moment to reflect on his latest performance Saturday evening live.

The comedian recently reflected on his latest long-term sketch NBC seriesstarring Cher and Ariana Grande, marking the end of its run on the iconic show.

In this farewell sketch he portrayed an employee of the Delta One Lounge clocking out after his last shift.

Yang admitted that he wasn’t even sure the sketch would air, noting that uncertainty is part of the job. PEOPLE Magazine.

“I was like, ‘There are a million reasons why I could get circumcised. Nothing is guaranteed,'” he recalls.

For those unfamiliar, Yang’s final sketch finally aired during the show’s December 20 broadcast.

Thinking about the experience as a whole, the Fire island star said the moment perfectly captured what it’s like to work on SNL.

“That’s in a nutshell, it’s perfectly illustrative of what that job entails,” Yang explained.

“It continued to resonate until the end.”
