Piers Morgan is injured and hospitalized

Piers Morgan shocked fans after sharing a post revealing he had been hospitalized after breaking his hip after a fall in a London hotel.

On Instagram he shares his snaps in the hospital, resting on the bed, while another photo shows an X-ray of his broken hip.

In addition to the hip, his femoral neck is also broken. Given the severity of the injury, Piers says he will need a full hip replacement.

Due to the injury, the TV presenter must recover for a maximum of three months and doctors advise against travel of at least twelve weeks.

In the caption, Piers describes his ordeal as follows: 1. Tripped over a small step.

2. In a hotel restaurant in London.

3. Broken femur.

4. I desperately needed a new hip.

5. Recover in the hospital.

6. Crutches for 6 weeks

7. No long-haul flights for 12 weeks.
