Ellie Goulding shares how she balances motherhood and career with the support of her family and partner.
When the 39-year-old singer-songwriter was expecting her second child, her first with boyfriend Minniear, Ellie opened up about growing her family while keeping up with her career.
“I didn’t want to just be a pregnant woman at first,” Goulding said NYLON. “Not every woman has this luxury. I have wonderful people around me.”
Ellie went on to say, “I have a great boyfriend. I have it a little bit easier because I have great support. I still work every day and I still write every day,” she continued. “It’s just that I’m developing a human being inside me.”
“I may not be the most Mother Earth-like, if you know what I mean? It’s a beautiful thing to be able to grow a child, and I feel very lucky to be healthy — but it’s not all that I am right now,” the doting mom added.
For those unfamiliar, Ellie is already a mother to four-year-old son Arthur, whom she welcomed with ex-boyfriend Caspar Jopling.
The singer announced her second pregnancy on the red carpet of the Fashion Awards 2025 in London in December.
