Jennifer Garner and her ex-husband, Ben Affleck, celebrate their son Samuel’s big day together.
The former couple, who split in 2015 after 10 years of marriage, stepped out together at Combat Paintball Park in Castaic, California, on Saturday to celebrate their son’s 14th birthday.
According to the photos published by Page sixGarner and Affleck were seen in the park carrying combat paintball equipment.
During the outing, Garner kept it casual and wore a white tank top paired with jeans. She completed her look with sunglasses and a black baseball cap.
While Affleck wore a white T-shirt, black jeans and a gray jacket.
Samuel, who Garner and Affleck welcomed in 2012, is their youngest child. The couple are also parents to two older children, daughters Violet, 20, and Seraphina, 17.
For those unfamiliar, Garner and Affleck tied the knot in 2005 and finalized their divorce in 2018.
In a recent appearance on Bustle’s One Nightstand YouTube series, Garner opened up about her co-parenting dynamic with Affleck.
“I think I do a little bit of both,” Garner said of the roles of both mother and father.
She further explained, “And I think my children’s father does too. Especially when your children grow up in two separate households, I become father and mother and he becomes father and mother. You can’t do anything about it, right? Because you don’t have the benefit of both sides of the yin and yang being in the same house.”
“There’s a little bit of loss in that, but there’s also something in that,” she added. “You just learn. It made me let go and no longer concentrate so much on raising children.”
