Priyanka Chopra gets honest about the moment during her wedding to Nick Jonas that finally hit her.
The Bollywood actress spoke candidly about her 2018 marriage to Nick and their love for each other in a recent appearance on the March 3 episode of The last meals of the mythical kitchen.
Host Josh Scherer told Nicks’ Priyanka that he shared his thoughts on reincarnation and his desire to see Priyanka in their “next life” when he appeared on the show in July 2025.
Priyanka replied that she held the same belief and as she looks back on her courtship, the way things developed proved their belief.
And the Quantico alum admitted that the closing ceremony of their wedding, which consisted of two ceremonies, a Western wedding and an Indian wedding, struck home with its significance.
She said of the fire ceremony of their Indian wedding: ‘We had four experts, these are Indian priests, who sat and sang. I walked downstairs and my mother had changed the whole ground floor – all the benches had been moved, there were low seats, there was a Havan Kund in the middle, which is for a fire ceremony, and there were these experts just singing.”

Priyanka continued, “It didn’t hit me when he put the ring on my finger… but when we were holding hands, I thought, ‘Oh, things are changing. This is different.’ I go from my mother to my husband. [I’m] choose my family. So the seriousness of that was not lost on any of us.”
After the ceremony, Nick told her, “I feel like we’re on our third or fourth life,” Priyanka revealed.
Explaining her Hindu wedding wedding, in which the couple completes seven circles around the fire, signifying their promise to unite for seven lifetimes. “We believe in reincarnation, and we believe that you find your person again and again and again.”
She added, “And when he said that to me, I thought about it for a second, we’re in our third or fourth [lifetime]and I said, ‘Why do you say that?’ He said, ‘Because it’s so well known. It feels like home, but at the same time I want to experience as much of it together.’ I mean, how are you not going to marry that guy?”
It is pertinent to mention that the couple tied the knot in 2018 and are parents to a two-year-old daughter, Malti.
