The 55-year-old American rapper, songwriter, producer and filmmaker gave an interview ScreenRantwhere he was asked if he plans to make the second one I am a Virgo, to which he replied bluntly with one word: “No.”

Riley said with a laugh, “The second season happens in your imagination. I think we watch too much TV. So tell me what happens.”

He then explained, “It’s hard to explain why, but we ended up having to cut 40% of the script. There was an entire penultimate episode cut. There was another 20 minutes after that ending that was cut, and then there was stuff, like he actually did all that sports stuff. There were more Lower Bottoms people, there was more of that.”

When asked if the first season suffered from budget-related issues, the Fremont actor joked that he “would have gotten them to give me the money” if his frequent collaborator LaKeith Stanfield wasn’t busy filming the 2023 Disney movie Haunted house.

“But the thing is, they kept saying, ‘We’ll just put it in the second season.’ That’s why it feels like a second season is needed. But when we sat down, I thought, ‘It just doesn’t feel right to do a whole second season because of things that really only work in the context of all that stuff,'” Riley said as he recalled.

It is relevant to mention that I’m a Virgoan American surreal comedy miniseries, starring Jharrel Jerome as Cootie, “a 13-foot-tall man who escapes to experience the beauty and contradictions of the real world.
