Kid Rock is reportedly facing a tough situation after ticket prices for his country festival were slashed by as much as 50%.
According to the Irish starthe rock musician has given the discount to fans amid skyrocketing fuel costs.
On Instagram, he shared a post writing, “Hey, people who love America! We have some super important updates for you!
“Fuel costs have gone up and we want to help! In response to rising transportation costs, for a limited time only, you can get up to 50% off general admission tickets to any of the 7 small town stops.”
However, some experts remain skeptical that this discount would lead to a surge in ticket sales.
Publicist Dylan Thomas Cottern told it The Irish Star, “When the general public witnesses a music festival cutting ticket prices in half, it usually indicates that something is wrong with sales and general demand.”
Echoing his views, PR expert Ryan McCormick added: “This is a clear sign of decline.”
Aside from fuel costs, another development that shocked the festival was the departure of Jelly Roll, who withdrew due to planning costs, forcing organizers to bring in rock band Staind.
With discounted rates and lineup changes, it remains to be seen how the Kid Rock festival will fare.
