Sandra Bullock encourages Hollywood to learn artificial intelligence and says the industry must remain “neuter” to new technology.
The 61-year-old actress made the unexpected statement while responding to fans’ AI-generated trailers Practical magic 2.
“Well, it could be worse with my image. Sorry,” Sandra joked at the CNBC Changemakers Summit.
“But it’s there. We have to observe it. We have to understand it. We have to lean into it. We have to use it in a very constructive and creative way, and make it our friend,” she continued.
The Ocean 8 actress added, “we have to be incredibly careful and aware of it because there are people who will use it for evil and not for good. I feel like there is a place for it.”
During the event, Pam Abdy, co-chairman of Warner Bros. Motion Pictures, also shares her thoughts on the AI-generated trailers for Practical magic 2.

“I know it’s not great, but it’s also exciting. Because that means there’s a desire for it and that means people want to come and play with the movie,” Pam added.
For those unfamiliar, Sandra is currently busy promoting her upcoming film, Practical magic 2alongside Nicole Kidman. The highly anticipated film will hit theaters on September 18, 2026.
