Vin Diesel brings ‘Fast & Furious’ family reunion to Cannes

Vin Diesel takes ‘Fast and Furious’ to Cannes for its 25th anniversary.

Vin Diesel excitedly arrived at a special screening of The Fast and the Furious in Cannes.

The 2001 underground street racing film, which launched a franchise worth more than $1 billion, is celebrating its 25th anniversary.

In tribute, dozens of stars from the film series arrived at the film festival, including Michelle Rodriguez and Jordana Brewster.

They are joined by the daughter of late actor Paul Walker, who died in a car crash in 2013.

The Fast and the Furious will be shown at midnight and will provide a boost to Cannes, which, it seems, is in dire need of big-budget Hollywood films.

The premiere comes as the Fast saga expands to television; a series at Peacock is in the works.

Moreover, the eleventh part of Fast and Furious will be released in cinemas in 2027.
