The French electronic band Air, consisting of Nicolas Godin and Jean-Benoît Dunckel, will perform at the upcoming Hollywood Superbowl to celebrate the 25th anniversary of their first album, “Moon Safari”.
Although the album was technically 25 in 2023, the band stretched the milestone into a worldwide retrospective that resonates with old fans.
During their newest stop from Mexico City, Goddess spoke as ‘life in 1998’, and noticed that the Tour feels like he is in a time capsule – constantly playing and singing Moon Safari.
The group now returns to Noord -America, where they will carry out the album in his sum, together with highlights from their wider catalog.
The set list also contains selections of the soundtrack “The Virgin Suicides”, which is celebrating its 25 -year anniversary this year.
A special reissue of that album, with a new analog mix, Blu-ray spatial version and rare demos, arrives September 26.
The American dates of Air start with a controversial version in the Hollywood Bowl, accompanied by the Hollywood Bowl orchestra led by Roger Neill.
The collaboration marks a reunion for more than two decades after Neill orchestrated their music for a symphonic show at the same location for the first time.
Despite the rigorous pace, the duo is on protecting their well -being. Godin referred to a French that said, “Don’t lose your life to earn it”, while Dunckel artists compared to machines that had to be cared for instead of overworked.
Thought of the nerves of the past, Goddess remembered in the field of the Hollywood Bowl show from 2004, but this time promised another mentality: “I will enjoy the first minute to the last, whatever happens.”
