Kevin McHale recently expressed his deep appreciation for him cheerfulness co-star Heather Morris.
For those who don’t know, McHale played Artie Abrams, a boy with a physical disability, and Morris played Brittany S. Pierce, a ditzy cheerleader. cheerfulnessa jukebox musical comedy-drama television series that ran for six seasons from May 2009 to March 2015, is about a group of “ambitious misfits” who “try to escape the harsh realities of high school by joining a glee club led by a passionate Spanish teacher.”
In a conversation with PEOPLE magazine, the 37-year-old American actor and singer revealed that he contacted Morris after her inclusion in the cast of 11 to Midnight was announced.
When asked if he would give her any advice about her first role on stage in a decade, he replied, “It was more like, ‘Oh yeah, this is hard.’ She said, “I’m the oldest in the cast.” I’m like, ‘I’m the second oldest in mine.’
McHale added, “We all have a good work ethic. You do Glee, you come away with a very good work ethic. So she doesn’t need my advice. I think it’s more just support.”
The Last Friday evening star admitted that he enjoys “seeing her on stage” because she is “one of the most incredible performers” he has ever seen since “the first day of rehearsal when I met her.”
“And so it’s a gift, I think, for people in New York to be able to see her. And selfishly, a gift for me, because I can’t wait to see her and she really belongs on stage,” McHale said, singing Morris.
It is relevant to mention that 11 to midnight, the theatrical dance show, officially opened at the Orpheum Theater in New York City on February 11, 2026, while Heather Morris became part of the show from April 9, 2026.
