Khloé Kardashian remembers opening the Dash boutique, which closed its doors in 2018, with sisters Kim Kardashian and Kourtney Kardashian.
During a recent episode of SiriusXM’s The Morgan Stewart Showthe mogul recalled that her mother approached the sisters about a possible reality series shortly after they founded the clothing store chain around 2006.
She admitted they “didn’t know” what they were doing, but revealed she initially dismissed the idea.
“At first we thought, ‘We’re not doing this.’ “
Sharing details about her mother’s marketing genius, Kris also reframed the concept of a reality show as a “free commercial” because she knew her daughters were fiercely protective of their business.
“And how my mom got us to do it was, ‘Think of it as a commercial for the store,’” the mother of two continued. ‘Because we wanted to do everything [was the store].”
“We had no employees. It was just me and Kourt,” Khloé noted, adding: We did everything: the cleaning, the taxes, the dry cleaning of the clothes.
“We didn’t have one employee. We didn’t know what we were doing.”
“When my father died, [Kourtney] had a credit card in my dad’s name, but it was her credit card,” the Good American co-founder explained, joking that it was “a little morbid — but not.”
