Ted McGinley, who spent years building his career in entertainment, talked about working with legends like Harrison Ford in Shrink.
For those who don’t know, Shrinka comedy-drama television series, features an ensemble cast including Ford, Jason Segel, Jessica Williams, Christa Miller, Luke Tennie, Lukita Maxwell, Brett Goldstein and others.
McGinley recently had a conversation PEOPLE magazine, where he reflected on sharing the screen with great actors.
Expressing his thoughts, the 67-year-old American actor said: “I’ve spent my entire career wondering what it would be like to work opposite a man like Harrison Ford, Jason Segel.”
He further admitted that he always thought that such opportunities don’t come easily your way, joking, “I’m never going to get the chance to have a scene.”
McGinley, who played Derek in the series, also talked about the kind of recognition he receives.
The Happy days Star confessed that being noticed for performing among big names was something he “never thought would happen – ever.”
Remarkably, Shrink follows Jimmy Laird (played by Segel), “a therapist grieving the death of his wife and who begins to break ethical boundaries by telling his patients exactly what he thinks. He is then guided by a gruff Paul Rhodes (played by Ford) and supported by colleague Gaby (played by Williams). Jimmy navigates dysfunctional honest therapy, erratic parenting and his own emotional recovery.”
It is relevant to mention that Shrinkwhich debuted on January 27, 2023, aired its third season on Apple TV+ on April 8, 2026.
