‘No TV show is perfect’

‘The Boys’ boss breaks silence on ‘controversial’ finale

The boys has a legendary run, with years of critical acclaim and pop culture dominance.

However, the final season in particular became somewhat ‘controversial’.

But series creator Eric Kripke defended the show, calling it “No TV show is perfect.”

In an interview with Varietyhe was asked if he would do anything differently.

Kripke’s answer: a resounding no.

“No, we landed where we wanted it to land. Did some stories work better than others?’

He adds: “Absolutely. There is no TV show that is perfect, and every storyline is always perfect.”

The creator of The Boys says he is satisfied with how the series ended.

“But all those stories brought us to this place. I’m happy with where it ended up.”

“It has been the best professional experience of my life. If I could do it again, I would do it again,” he notes.

Not only this, Kripke shares that he prepared the ending The boys from the beginning.

“Yes and no,” he said first. The plan to end was the same from the beginning.

However, the creator shares, “From the very beginning of the series, we knew this was the end of Hughie and Butcher.”

“It’s not quite one-to-one, but I think we have a pretty faithful Butcher and Hughie ending that is similar to the comic.

Although The boys ended, the universe of supers continues with two spin-off series.
