Khloé Kardashian gives a masterclass in dealing with old wounds.
The Good American founder then responded with grace Today host Savannah Guthrie publicly expressed her regret for a 2012 interview in which she asked Khloé to address rumors questioning whether she was really the daughter of Robert Kardashian Sr – Kris Jenner’s late ex-husband.
Guthrie, 53, admitted on the Oct. 20 episode Today that the on-air moment remains one of her most “embarrassing” career memories, revealing that she only asked because she felt “pressure” from producers to go for the “legal question.”
“I asked Khloé Kardashian, about ten seconds before we went to break, about the rumors that her father wasn’t her father,” Guthrie recalled.
Khloé, 41, responded to Guthrie’s apology on Instagram with nothing but kindness.
“She’s a doll! It takes a big person to take responsibility and I just love her!” she wrote further E! News’ Kard’s Catch Up page, with heart and crown emojis.
In 2012, Khloé addressed the question with her signature humor, joking, “I don’t know who my dad is, I guess.” Guthrie praised her for being “a total class act” even in the awkward moment.
The topic of her father’s death has always been emotional for Khloé. On her Khloe in Wonderland podcast, she shared that she was “forced” to talk about him during the first episodes of Keeping up with the Kardashians was painful but ultimately liberating.
“It was like a house was lifted off me after that conversation,” she said.
