Shortly after her new song debut, In the darkthe 33-year-old singer and actress enjoyed a night out with her mother Mandy Teefey in California.
On Thursday evening, October 23, the Calm down hitmaker and her mother were spotted leaving the celebrity hotspot, Italian restaurant Giorgio Baldi, in Santa Monica after a fun dinner.
The mother-daughter appearance came just hours after Selena released her brand new song, which is featured in the second season of Netflix’s romantic comedy series. Nobody wants this.
To make the surprise song even sweeter, she also dropped a retro-inspired music video.
The visual opens with the Only murders in the building star lounging in a black leotard on a white chaise longue, before the video cuts to moodier shots of her rocking a two-piece, shiny leather jacket, surrounded by smoke.
A day before its release, the newlywed singer teased the video on her Instagram Stories, sharing scenes from the footage, which took less than eight hours to film.
“I liked adding a little Revival to it,” she playfully captioned one photo.
Selena made her musical return just a month after tying the knot with her husband Benny Blanco in a private ceremony last month.
Her close family members and longtime friends, including Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran, attended the wedding.
