Adam Peaty has opened up about his relationship with fiancée Holly Ramsay, revealing she gives him a sense of ‘balance’ amid a bitter family feud over their marriage.
The 30-year-old swimmer shared insight into his bond with celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay’s 25-year-old daughter in World Aquatic’s YouTube documentary series, which follows his journey to the 2025 Swimming World Cup.
Speaking to the camera, Adam said: ‘If I’m racing in trials or racing in any other competition, she’ll just be in the crowd. I’m in another hotel room or something.
“When we started this season, I told myself I wanted her there because it gives me balance, but also no time to be away from home for three weeks.
‘And when someone is experiencing their fourth Olympic Games, you need balance.’
Elsewhere in the episode, Holly gave more insight into how the pair met.
She said: “So when Adam and I first met, he wasn’t swimming. After the Olympics he was ready in his mind. He was retired.
“So he took the Olympics off until January and got back in the water in January.”
In the documentary teaser, Holly and Adam’s wedding plans are openly discussed. While Adam avoids mentioning his own family, including mum Caroline, Holly highlights the involvement of the Ramsay clan, including dad Gordon, mum, Tana and her siblings Megan, 27, her twin brother Jack, 25, Matilda, 23, Oscar, 6, and Jesse 2.
