Kristen Stewrat is looking forward to a ‘chill’ 2026, during which she will take a break.
In a recent conversation with People at the Variety Creative Impact Awards, the actress and director spoke about her restless 2025, saying she “needs to chill before” she hopes for another project.
“I’ve had the craziest year of my entire life,” Stewart told the outlet. “I’m married. My wife made a movie for her. I was in it. I made my movie. We went to Cannes. The movie is coming out in theaters now, which blows my mind.”
Stewart commented, “I’ve been so fizzy this past year. I need to get flat…I need to get fizzy.”
She further explained, “I have to go back, fill the hole and figure out what my next movie is. There are a few things I want to do, but you have to chill out for a while before I can actually come back with the enthusiasm it takes to make those movies.”
For those unfamiliar, Stewart made her directorial debut last year with The chronology of water, Starring Thora Burch, Tom Sturridge, Imogen Poots, Jim Belushi and more.
In April 2025, she married her partner at Mexican restaurant Casita Del Campo in Los Angeles.
