Ryan Michelle Bathé reveals whether her marriage to Sterling K. Brown gives her anything Paradise spoilers.
In a joint interview with Sterling, she was asked if she gets spoilers.
‘I know better [than to ask]’, said Bathé We weekly. “Because I tried to beg for spoilers for This is us. And he says, ‘No, I’m not telling you anything.'”
‘He knew how This is us would end when he signed up. I only found out when the rest of the world heard,” she added.
Brown, 49, intervened to explain his thoughts on the end of a show.
‘I like to know [what will happen on my projects]. But I feel like it’s a question you only ask on TV. Because when you make a movie or a play, you know the beginning, the middle and the end,” he noted.
“The idea that you don’t have to know or it’s going to be ruined for you… it’s also like I get a chance to help determine where it ultimately goes. So I don’t mind knowing,” he added.
Bathé’s fandom of Season 1 of the hit show led her to host the companion podcast, but she worried Season 2 would be a “sophomore slump.”
“At first I was a little lukewarm about doing the podcast because I thought, ‘There’s no way to do this.’ [they can top season 1],'” Bathé said.
“How do you achieve perfection? You can’t match perfection. So I wanted to try, but I did [preparing] for a sophomore slump. I was wrong. Not only was I wrong, but I was so very wrong,” she said.
Bathé has also joined the cast Paradise in season 2, but details about her role are being kept under wraps.
