Chris Hemsworth gets candid about daughter’s drawings that inspired several of his tattoos

Chris Hemsworth has revealed that several of his tattoos were inspired by artwork created by his 13-year-old daughter, India, and that a nearly deleted design was saved at her request.

The Thor star made the confession on the SlimLess podcast with Jason Bateman, Will Arnett and Sean Hayes. The conversation started when he revealed that he sometimes gets “sick” from his tattoos.

He recalled how he had started laser removal by design Oh, the places you go!a story he always read to India and that his own mother once read to him.

After noticing the ink was fading, his daughter wondered what happened and told him she loved the tattoo, prompting him to stop the removal process. The design now remains partially faded but intact.

Hemsworth also shared that other small drawings on his arm were done spontaneously by India during a late-night tattoo session. The actor said his tattoo artist suggested her sketches were more meaningful than the original concepts designed, and led to her artwork being permanently inked.

Hemsworth shares his daughter India and twin sons Sasha and Tristan with his wife Elsa Pataky, whom he married in 2010.
