Cher was reportedly “speechless” after discovering she has a secret 15-year-old granddaughter, the girl’s mother reveals.
Kayti Edwards, the mother of the superstar’s teenage grandchild, recently revealed this in a conversation with The sun that she broke the news to Cher almost a year ago and that she was shocked.
Revealing the details that “Cher” contacted her last June and asked if it was true that she and Cher’s second son, Elijah Allman, share a daughter.
Kayti revealed at the time that she “had to confess.”
How Cher came to know about it, the loving mother of the teenage girl Cher told her: “She had heard something about it from Elijah in 2021, but didn’t know if it was just crazy talk.”
What was Cher’s reaction? Kayti revealed: “When she heard the news, she was speechless.”
However, the card legend was also over the moon when she found out that she is ‘finally’ a grandparent.
“Cher told her family, ‘Oh my God, I’m finally a grandma,’” Kayti noted.
Kayti, a former model, shared further insights into her past relationship with Cher’s son.
She revealed that she had a brief affair with Elijah in 2010, which led to the birth of their daughter.
Kayti explained, “Elijah and I spent the night together and I got pregnant.
“He always knew it from day one, but he never wanted to be a parent.”
As for how the rumors started after years of silence, Kayti shared in 2021, when Elijah “overdid on drugs,” he “blurted to his then-wife that he had a child.”
And so the news spread like wildfire.
