Julia Roberts’ brother Eric is shutting down rumors of a rift between the siblings.
The ‘Clika’ actor called Julia ‘amazing’ while debunking speculation that they had had a major falling out on the ‘It Happened in Hollywood’ podcast.
“It’s not true, it’s never been true. We’re doing well,” the 69-year-old actor said. “We have disagreements, just like humans, but we love and respect each other very much.”
Eric revealed that he and Julia are on good terms, adding, “She’s a great actor, she’s a great person. I think she’s even a great mother — that’s the hardest job there is. So you know, she’s a cool girl and I like her.”
Eric went on to say that he and Julia have minor disagreements, like all siblings, but they are not serious.
“The only problems we have are the daily disagreements about whatever, but it’s nothing,” he noted. “I love my sister very much. I’m in awe of her amazing career. And she has three kids – she’s a mom, dude!”
This came eight years after Eric said the success of his daughter Emma and his sister Julia was linked to him.
“If it wasn’t for me, there would be no Julia Roberts and no Emma Roberts as celebrities, as actresses, and I’m very proud of that,” he told Vanity Fair at the time.
