Irina Shayk talks co-parenting rules amid Bradley Cooper’s new relationship

Irina Shayk discusses the rules of co-parenting during Bradley Cooper’s new relationship

Irina Shayk opened up about how she and her ex-fiancé Bradley Cooper are raising their daughter Lea De Seine Shayk Cooper in the spotlight.

The eight-year-old understands that her parents have busy careers, but they made her feel comfortable and protected.

Sjaak told me PEOPLE Monday that Lea has very little digital access, almost none, and that they focused on building a loving community of friends around her.

The 39-year-old went on to explain that she tried to protect her daughter from unrealistic beauty standards while giving her love and attention.

However, she added that as a mother she felt strong and confident knowing who she was and what she stood for.

Both Shayk and Cooper shared 50/50 custody of Lea after their four-year romance ended in 2019, and they did not employ nannies and raised their daughter together.

On Sunday, Cooper attended a soccer match with his girlfriend Gigi Hadid, while Hadid shared a view from her VIP seat on Instagram.

The supermodel’s daughter, Khai Malik, often played with Lea and showed how their families were intertwined.

Cooper said in October that children voiced their opinions and that he valued Lea’s opinion, even involving her in decision-making.

Shayk told me earlier ELLE that they took their daughter everywhere and praised Cooper as the best father she could imagine.

For those unfamiliar, Irina has been romantically linked to high-profile figures including Tom Brady, Cristiano Ronaldo and Kanye West.

While Bradley, who gave up alcohol and cocaine at the age of 29, previously divorced Jennifer Esposito and dated several actresses.

He also directed and wrote the film Is this thing on?, scheduled for release in the United States on December 19.
