Jerry O’Connell recently reflected on why he thinks it’s important to teach his daughters some valuable life lessons before they move.
For those who don’t know, O’Connell shares his twin daughters, Charlie and Dolly, now 17 years old, with his wife Rebecca Romijn.
On Monday, May 18, the 52-year-old American actor and TV presenter spoke with PEOPLE magazine at Stop! That! Train! premiered in Los Angeles, where he showed his love for his daughters.
He told the outlet that he and his wife, Romijn, teach their daughters practical life skills, such as validating their parking spot before sending them away.
The Joe’s apartment star said: “We’re doing pretty well. We adopted another dog. That’s how we’re dealing with it. My wife is dealing with it pretty well. We realized it’s a good thing we like each other, otherwise it would be difficult because we spend a lot of time together. And everyone says they’re coming home anyway, so I think we’ll be fine.”
“I try to teach them life lessons, like how to validate for parking. We all went to lunch together the other day, but they drove in their car that they share because they didn’t like to go with us. They didn’t understand why they had to validate.”
“They said it was only $5, but I told them, yes, but it’s my $5. There is inflation. Go to a store and ask them to validate it. These are the life lessons they need,” Jerry O’Connell explained.
