Seth Rogen Talks About Getting Emotional During the Premiere of His New Animated Film, tangles, which appeared on the screen after 10 years of hard work.

When Seth and his wife, Lauren Miller Rogen, co-produced the animated film about Alzheimer’s disease that debuted at the Cannes Film Festival on May 14, it moved everyone in the house to tears.

At the French fest’s afterparty, Seth, who is also a voice actor in the film, told People that he “cried a lot the whole time.”

​The Emmy winner explained: “I’ve seen the movie many times, of course, but that was the first time I didn’t see it on my laptop with Lauren sitting next to me in our living room.”

It is pertinent to mention that the film’s plot has a deep personal connection with Seth, as his late mother-in-law, Lauren’s mother, Adele, was also diagnosed with genetic early-onset Alzheimer’s disease.

​Watching the “completely finished” version of the film with an audience “was a lot more intense for Seth.

Seth and his partner were spotted wiping tears in a video posted to social media after Tangles received a standing ovation from the crowd.

The comedian and actor added: “I’m just happy that the film is effective and works. We’ve been working on it for ten years. It’s a very nice feeling to watch it with a large group of people. And the fact that it seems to have affected them emotionally is very nice.”

According to the National Institute on Aging’s website, “Alzheimer’s disease is the most common form of dementia, a brain disorder that slowly destroys a person’s memory and thinking skills.”
