’30 Rock’ star Grizz Chapman is breathing his last at the age of 52

Grizz Chapman, best known for his role in sitcom 30 Rock, died at the age of 52.

The actor’s representative, Syeda A. Brown, said this TMZ that Grizz breathed his last on Friday, leaving his wife and two children devastated.

Meanwhile, Grizz’s cousin, Harlem Globetrotter Donte “Hammer” Harrison, also confirmed the actor’s death on social media.

According to Harlem, the actor died in his sleep “after years of battling illness and dialysis.”

“Life has thrown my cousin Grizz Chapman some tough battles, but he fought them with strength and dignity to the end,” he wrote.

“Many people knew him as the sitcom star of 30 Rock, but we knew the man behind the screen. A good heart, good energy and someone who made an impact in this life,” Harlem continued.

Concluding the note, Grizz’s cousin added, “I am grateful that we had the time to reconnect two months before his passing. Rest assured, cousin. Your name and legacy will live on forever.”

For those unfamiliar, Grizz rose to fame after starring in the NBC sitcom, 30 Rock.

He also appeared in several other films and shows including The good fight, Blue Blood, And The blacklist.
