Hackingthe popular sitcom airing on HBO Max will have the last laugh: season five, the trailer for which dropped today, will be the last.
Ten episodes make up the final season. Episodes appear every week. The season release date is April 9.
However, it’s no surprise that Hacks is about to wrap up. Members of the show in the past have given comments and hints indicating that the end of this show is near.
Hannah Einbinder, who plays Ava Daniels in the series, recently said this E! Entertainment TV, “Knowing that this is the last season is really bittersweet. But I think it’s right, you know? It’s nice to do something as often as it’s supposed to be done. Don’t overstay your welcome. Rip it and do it and laugh and cry.”
Similarly, series creator Paul W. Downs said after the Season 4 finale, “We’re splitting up Season 5 now, and we’ve got to see how many episodes it takes to get to where we know we’re going.”
“The final scene of the final episode has been in our minds since 2015 and we’re excited to get there. But that may require more episodes than we can squeeze into the season. So the truth is, we don’t know.”
Hackingaired in 2021, received critical acclaim and earned several Emmys.
“In the wake of inaccurate and unflattering news reports that she has passed away, Deborah Vance (Jean Smart) and Ava (Hannah Einbinder) return to Las Vegas more determined than ever to secure Deborah’s legacy as a comedian,” the show’s synopsis reads.
