John Travolta was expected at the Cannes Film Festival in 2026. But when he walked in, everyone was impressed.
In a sloppy, cream-colored wool beret and a black suit, the Pulp fiction star gave an unrecognizable look.
In the suit, he wore a white shirt and tie over a knitted cardigan, leaving fans amazed.
Travolta was accompanied by his daughter Ella, who wore a black dress.
In Cannes, the Grease star was present for his directorial debut, Propeller One-Way Night Coach.
But then came a surprise for Travolta: an honorary Palme d’Or.
According to reports, the actor fought back tears during his acceptance speech.
“This goes beyond the Oscars,” he said, adding: “I can’t believe this. This is the last thing I expected.”
Travolta pointed to Cannes director Thierry Frémaux and said, “You said this was going to be a special night, but I didn’t think you meant it.”
The actor continued, “When I met you in November, I didn’t expect my film to be accepted.”
“And when Thierry said that not only was it accepted, but that it made history because it would be the first film ever accepted so early, I cried like a baby because I just couldn’t believe it,” he concluded.
Propeller night bus for one-way traffic premieres May 29 on Apple TV.
