The feud between Taylor Swift and Kanye West is tied to pop culture. It started at the MTV VMAs in 2009, and multiple encounters since then allowed the beef to explode again.
The thing is, both figures are in the spotlight this week. What’s unfolding now is Ye releasing the album Bully – his first album in four years.
While the promotions are set up for the album, where fans are asked to dance to a song from the album.
But hours before the scheduled release of Ye’s album, Swift was scheduled to make her first awards appearance in eighteen months at the iHeartRadio Awards in Los Angeles.
Here’s a report The American sun claims, a collision occurred.
An insider tells the outlet that both celebrities are making PR moves to steal the spotlight.
“Taylor and Ye both enjoy having all eyes on them, so they will do everything they can to make headlines. The fact that they will be battling for the spotlight at the end of the week means that both teams will be looking to make the biggest impact.”
While a source shares that Swift may be backing out of a perceived PR battle for attention, it’s unclear what Ye will do next.
“Taylor takes a high stance when it comes to Ye, but all bets are off on what he will do to promote his album.”
Swift previously opened up about the mental toll of an argument with West. In a throwback interview with Fashionshe said, “If you say someone’s canceled, it’s not a TV show.”
“It’s a human being. You’re sending mass amounts of messages to this person to either shut up, disappear, or it could also be interpreted as ‘kill yourself,'” she concluded.
