Lainey Wilson is all hearts for her fiancé, who reportedly proved to be a rock for her.
While talking about her new documentary, Lainey Wilson: Keepin’ Country Cool, she admitted that without his support, she might not have been able to cope with the pressures of recent years that saw her rise to fame.
“I came home from the road, I was so tired and he was the only one who would see it, but I had to cry and pack my bags again. He was allowed to look behind the curtain.”
For those unfamiliar, Lainey and the former NFL player started dating in 2021 and got engaged in early 2025.
As a former professional athlete, Wilson also noted that Hodges understands the “all-in” mentality necessary for elite success.
“He also knew how much I put into this and how much I dedicated my life to it.”
She also made it clear that domestic stability is more valuable to her than any trophy.
“He adds so much to my life, I think, ‘Why wouldn’t I want to spend the rest of my life with my best friend?’ Someone who lifts me up and encourages me and shoots me straight down, who cooks potato soup for me.”
Concluding, she said, “This makes it. I just didn’t know this would be part of the ‘making’.”
