Harry Wilson future in doubt as uncertainty grows

Fulham are offering Harry Wilson a mouth-watering deal to stop him leaving

Now Brentford vs. Fulham are in full swing, according to reports there is a growing fear at the latter club that top player Harry Wilson may walk away.

Insiders tell The Paper that the winger – who has had a phenomenal season, scoring 11 goals – is mid-exit for two main reasons.

Firstly, Fulham’s main asset is looking for a place closer to home, i.e. Wales, and its team is based in London – despite a mouth-watering offer from the club.

“The club have made a major offer to Harry but it appears he is leaning towards a move closer to the North West where he is from,” a source claimed.

The second reason is the possible departure of Marco Silva – the club’s manager – whose contract expires in June.

While negotiations between management and the former Portuguese player are ongoing, uncertainty looms.

“A lot for him also depends on Marco staying, so the club is trying to enforce something there,” the source claimed, while Wilson’s contract is also expiring.

“Harry has had his best season yet, especially after making an impact as a substitute on a more regular basis. He is the player Marco really trusts, so a lot will depend on the manager.”

Currently, Brentford and Fulham are giving their best shots at the other team’s goalposts. With the last five spots in the table falling behind their rivals, Fulham are under pressure to win their next five of six matches to secure a place in UEFA.
