For those who don’t know, the 68-year-old American actor and singer lent his voice to Jethro in the 1998 American musical drama film, an animated retelling of the Biblical Book Exodus. He also sang the film’s soundtrack, Through the eyes of heaven, that touched people’s hearts, and they still mention the song during their meeting with Mitchell.
The A good feeling crooner appeared on the opening night of Broadway’s Joe Turner’s Come and away in April, which he spoke to PEOPLE magazine about the love he ‘always’ receives from people for his work The prince of Egypt.
Expressing his thoughts, he said, “By the way, when they originally tested that movie, they said that song was also the song that everyone responded to.”
“So I was really happy with that, and I’m happy that it’s still going and people are still loving the song,” Mitchell admitted.
