The father of Maggie Baugh, guitarist for Keith Urban, speaks out while speculation around the controversial split of the country star of Nicole Kidman is swirls.
Chuck Baugh spoke the rumors after images of a flirty moment had appeared between his daughter and Stedelijk during a Las Vegas show in April.
“I don’t know anything about it, except that she is a guitarist for him,” he said the Daily mail On Thursday.
He added that the interaction seemed more professional than personally and said, “It is more a musician thing than a dating thing,” while admitting that he “didn’t hear somehow”.
The comments come only a few days later Page six confirmed that Kidman, 58 and Urban, 57, had ended their marriage after almost 20 years together.
“Sometimes relationships just walk their run,” said a source, adding that the actress “did not want the divorce and tried to save things.”
According to reports, the couple lived apart since the beginning of the summer.
On Tuesday, Kidman officially applied for a divorce, with reference to “irreconcilable differences” and a parenting plan for their daughters, Sunday Rose, 17 and Faith Margaret, 14.
Insiders close to the actress say that she was “destroyed” by the fall. “She feels betrayed,” a source revealed. “She really feels upset.”
Another insider told Page six That Kidman concentrates on her children while she is moving forward: “She is sad and continues with her life and to ensure that her children are cared for.”
Speculation will be earlier this week after TMZ published a clip from the performance of Urban’s Mandalay Bay.
While singing his 2016 hit The hunterof which many believed it was written about his relationship with Kidman, Urban pointed to Maggie while he delivered the line,
“I was born to love you.” The guitarist then went on the stage for the version and the two embraced at the end. Urban has even changed the texts during recent shows to record a reference to Maggie, adding fuel to the rumors.
In the meantime, TMZ reported that several sources claim that Urban is already involved in ‘another woman’.
“All signs point to the fact that Keith is with another woman,” claimed the sources of the outlet. “Let’s say Nicole is not disputed, but she is still shocked about it.”
Kidman and Urban, who married in 2006, have long been seen as one of the most sustainable couples in Hollywood. Now that their marriage is officially coming to an end, both are confronted with a new chapter in their lives.
