Britney Spears’ viral night out last week is facing new claims that cast doubt on initial reports of her behavior.
The pop star was filmed driving erratically after dining at Red O in Westlake, California, sparking concern among fans and her family.
Early reports suggested that Spears had been acting strangely at the restaurant, reportedly knocking over glasses and making a strange toast before leaving.
However, Oliver Wynn, the restaurant’s general manager who was personally with Spears that evening, shared a very different version of events.
Speak with We weeklyWynn said the singer was calm and polite during her visit.
“She was super chill and really nice,” he said. “She just hung out, grabbed a snack and left.”
Wynn clarified that Spears was “not drunk” and had not ordered any alcohol with her meal, although a fan did buy her a glass of wine.
“Britney was chatting with her friend and fans the entire time,” he explained, noting that the pop icon’s visit lasted less than an hour. “They were very talkative.”
According to Wynn, Spears was friendly to everyone who approached her, posed for photos and chatted warmly.
“I was impressed by how nice she actually was,” he added. “I’ve worked in other restaurants where a lot of celebrities frequented, and I’ve never seen a celebrity as nice as Britney.”
Following the incident, Spears appeared to indirectly address the viral driving footage on Instagram.
In a post with a photo of Minnie Mouse and Daisy Duck hugging, she wrote: “If anyone is wondering that I wasn’t the lookalike….” Although she did not directly reference the video, her post led to speculation that she was distancing herself from the event.
Reports later emerged that Spears’ family is deeply concerned about her well-being and is discussing the best way to support her.
“There is a lot of concern,” a source told the Daily Mail.
“Everyone has always wanted the best for her, and now she’s showing that she’s making bad choices.”
The insider added: “It’s terrifying. So there’s a lot of talk about what to do, if anything. How can we protect her from herself.”
The latest controversy comes amid renewed public attention on Spears following her ex-husband Kevin Federline’s memoir, You thought you knewwhich contains several serious claims about the pop star.
Spears has strongly denied his allegations, with a rep previously stating that Federline is “taking advantage of her” after her child support payments for their two sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James, ended.
While the footage of Spears driving raises eyebrows, Wynn’s account paints a calmer picture of her evening, leaving fans wondering what really happened that night.
