Mindy Cohn opens up about a secret second battle with cancer

Mindy Cohn, the Facts of life star, has revealed that she is undergoing treatment for cancer for the second time after beating breast cancer in 2017.

She revealed that she recently spent time in a Los Angeles hospital, where she is “still recovering for a few weeks” after her treatment.

“I’ve been off social media for a while because I had to kick cancer to the curb,” the Emmy-nominated actor wrote on her official Instagram.

She continued, “I did this with the extraordinary help of the Providence Saint John hospital staff. Thank you to my family, who have been my advocates and are always ready to help me when it is ‘my turn’.

“Just a few more weeks to recover and then ready for my next adventure. Onwards! F**k cancer!” Mindy exclaimed.

Following her health update, the comments section was filled with loving and encouraging comments.

“Sending love your way,” American Horror Story star Sarah Paulson commented, while Jerry McGuire star Jerry O’Connell wrote, “Love you, Mindy! Here if you need us!”

Helen Hunt wrote: ‘Sending love your way.’

Mindy was previously diagnosed with breast cancer in 2012, which she revealed after beating the disease in 2017.

She is best known for her role as Natalie Green in the sitcom The facts of life from 1979 to 1988; and as Velma’s voice in the Scooby Doo franchise.

Mindy Cohn can currently be seen as society reporter Ann Holiday in the Emmy-nominated Apple TV+ drama series Palm Royale.
